welcome to the "Get Money Race Series" blog. Get money was an idea i had a while back for a less than legal street race series through the streets of our fair city. Basically it's laid out like this: i will post the races on this blog and on the ever popular facebook. you will show up with your $2-$3 (depending on how much it is) and give it to me. Then you'll stand around for a bit and wait for the late folks to show up... i know you'll be early because you're so excited to party. Once everyone is paid up and signed in I will tell you where the race is ending at. This is not an alley cat style race, no check points, just balls/vaginas out race to the other destination in the city. There will be a men's and women's class with the money from each seperate. Payout works like so:
3rd Place: you get your money back
2nd Place: your money X's 2
1st Place: the rest of it
Top three will also get a spoke card proclaiming there victories.
The races will be spread out and on random days, rain or shine. And available to fixed gear and single speed riders only.. the roadies would probably have an unfair advantage, sorry.
Helmets and brakes are obviously suggested.. mostly the helmet part, but this is a land of freedom and independence and bald eagles and bring 'em home alive, so nothing like that will be enforced.
THE FIRST RACE IS:
SATURDAY APRIL 11TH 4PM start time (so be there at 3:30 to sign in and pay up)
we will all meet in East GR at the weird fountain on Wealthy across from the high school and next to the parking ramp. you will be given the destination then.
